Mamoru Hosoda’s “The Boy and the Beast” Opens March 4

Boyandbeast Mamoru Hosoda, the director that brought us *The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Summer Wars, *and Wolf Children, will have his next film, The Boy and the Beast, released in theaters, in the United States, on March 4, 2016. The movie will be dubbed and released by Funimation and advanced ticket sales have already begun. So be sure to get those tickets ordered at a theater near you by clicking the Funimation hyperlinks in this post! The movie will be available to watch both in Japanese with English subtitles or with the Funimation dub. The film follows a young orphan who stumbles into a magical world of beasts and becomes the apprentice of a gruff warrior-beast. The film has done very well at the Japanese box office, and has apparently received favorable reviews from the Japanese community. We at Anime Inspectors are looking forward to being able to do our own review once March 4 roles along. Until then, we will just have to quench our appetite with all the other anime airing right now (like Erased.) Until next time…Don’t Forget to be Awesome!

Update:

The Boy and the Beast has now officially been released in the United States, so check out our review here!
